Conditions We Treat

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy is a discipline of physiotherapy which deals with injuries affecting muscles, joints and soft tissues. Pain is defined as "an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage, or described in terms of such damage" by International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP).

  • Pain is considered as a symptom of an underlying condition and it can hinder/interfere with person's quality of life.
  • Pain works as a reflex phenomenon for patients to withdraw from damaging situations, to protect a damaged body part while it heals.
  • Sometimes patients adapt a guarding behaviour to protect future injuries.
