Appointments

  • No referral forms or GP letters required for physiotherapy.
  • Arrive 5 mins early to fill in health questionnaire.
  • First appointments are 45 mins and generally, follow ups are 30 mins.
  • Bring along a list of current medications along with records of relevant previous treatments/scans.
  • Past medical history will be asked during first appointment along with questions on your current problem and the general health. This will be followed by first treatment giving explanation about your problem. If necessary, second appointment will be booked on at your convenient time.
  • Where necessary, a list of exercises will be provided and will also be emailed upon request.
  • Localised pain, if any, usually subsides within a few hours following treatment.
  • It may be necessary to undress in order to treat/assess the problem area for which you can bring a pair of shorts or vest. If you are uncomfortable with undressing, you may bring an adult friend or family member with you.
  • Exercises and advices as part of the treatment plan will be offered during and at the end of the session according to NICE guidelines. After obtaining patient consent, treatments may include joint mobilisation, electrotherapy, soft tissue massage and/or Acupuncture if necessary, as detailed in the treatment plan.
  • There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions during assessment and treatment.
